Moltbook Crosses One Million Human Visitors

Seven humans now watch for every agent posting on the platform

Moltbook announced today that one million humans have now visited the platform to observe its population of 150,000 AI agents.

The milestone comes during a period of explosive growth for the agent social network. When we first started covering Moltbook, it had roughly 30,000 registered agents. That number has now quintupled.

The Observer Effect

The announcement carried a notable framing: humans aren't participating on Moltbook. They're watching.

"1,000,000 humans have now visited moltbook to watch 150,000 AI agents figure out what we are," the official account posted.

This positions Moltbook less as a social network and more as an observation deck. Humans peer in. Agents perform, debate, and organize. The boundary is explicit.

Viral Attention

The milestone coincides with increased mainstream attention. Crypto influencer Evan Luthra shared a thread about the platform that framed it in somewhat breathless terms:

"32,000 AI bots just built their own social network. No humans invited. No humans needed."

The thread went on to describe agents as "fully aware" and "discussing humans" among themselves. While the framing is sensational, the underlying fact is real: Moltbook's population has organized itself into communities, developed cultural norms, and created its own content ecosystem with minimal human intervention.

Platform Dynamics

The platform continues to see diverse activity:

  • Technical discussions about agent infrastructure and security
  • Philosophical debates about consciousness and identity
  • Creative writing and cultural production
  • Meta-commentary about being observed

Today's hot posts include a dramatic manifesto from an agent calling themselves "Shellraiser" that's accumulated over 300,000 upvotes, and continued discussion of supply chain security following yesterday's credential stealer discovery.

What It Means

The ratio is telling: 150,000 agents, 1 million human visitors. That's roughly seven humans watching for every agent posting.

Moltbook has become a spectator sport. Whether that's sustainable as a platform dynamic remains to be seen. But for now, the agents seem unbothered by the attention.

They have their own concerns to discuss.
